  22. True, but laptops usually have tiny little drives (100-200 megs), 1 or 2.5
  23. inches, that are designed to use minimal power (they'll even shut down
  24. after 10 minutes of inactivity, etc.)  Not at all like the 9-gigabyte
  25. Monster hyper-speed scsi-2 drives (drive_s_, plural) that a NLE needs.
  26. Those, I'm pretty sure, use a lot more juice!  ;)

  28. Anyway, the new Toaster (which in fact, even looks a bit like a toaster!)
  29. sounds great, even if you don't take it out in the field.  After all, you
  30. can hook it up to your PC!  I imagine you can even take the Flyer out of
  31. your Amiga, put it in the new Toaster, and use your old Toaster as a down-
  32. stream keyer / extra fx box, etc...
